Jessica Liemantara, also known as Jess Lemon, is passionate about all things sweet and wants to share her creations with one and all.
With whisk in hand and her first cook book in tow Jess spent many a night watching her Grandmother and Aunt baking all manner of sweet things. It didn’t take long for the baking bug to grab hold of Jess and this is where her baking journey began.
Jess made her debut on MasterChef Australia in 2018 as one of the youngest contestants ever.
It was a surprise to no one that Jess finished in the top 4 as a result of her fastidious attention to detail and a vision beyond her years.

Following her success on MasterChef and recognised for her talent Jess worked and collaborated with Omnom at Adelphi Hotel, The Press Club, Nobu Crown and the Raffles Hotel Jakarta.
In 2019, looking to inspire both young and old Jess self-published her first cookbook “A Little Zest of Jess”.

Then in 2020 Jess was selected for her 2nd appearance on MasterChef Australia Season 12 – Back to Win, this was Jess competing against the best of the best. Following her 2nd appearance on MasterChef and with the world impacted by COVID19 Jess recognised an opportunity to bring her skill of hand-crafted treats to those at home and “Jess Lemon”” was born.
These treats included:
- Buttery tarts filled with all manner of silky curds, smooth airy mouses and decadent garnishes
- Macarons of all flavours
- Celebration cakes

Continuing her success in 2021 Jess became the Creative Director of a small patisserie until 2022.
Understanding there was still so much to learn Jess was employed by Ned’s Bakes where she honed her skills in the art of viennoiserie along with assisting with recipe development.
Having achieved so much at the age of 25 Jess is not yet done. This was confirmed by a 3rd appearance on MasterChef’s Dessert Masters where she finished 3rd against Australia’s industry best.
Jess’ journey continues with the support of her family, friends
and loyal fans from all over the world. It is this support that enables Jess to provide exciting creations, recipe tutorials, gift ideas and more.
